Tabernacle Replica in Timna National Park

Moses was instructed at Mount Sinai to construct and transport the tabernacle (portable dwelling temple) with the Israelites on their journey through the wilderness and desert. The tabernacle contained the Arc of the Covenant and the 10 Commandments.

The Israelites continued to use the Tabernacle, even after they entered Israel, until they began to build in Shilo - a type of Holy Temple.

Today, now that the new international airport next to Eilat will soon be open, it is possible to fly to Eilat and visit the nearby Tabernacle in the Timna National Park.

There are ongoing archaeological efforts to discover the location of the Arc of the Covenant and now is a good a time as ever to visit the replica and learn all about the Tabernacle.
